  • NDSU offers a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) program in Microbiology or Biotechnology for undergraduates, as well as two graduate programs in Microbiology (Master of Science 和 Ph.D.).  
  • 我们的 faculty 和 staff have a wide variety of expertise, from livestock vaccination, infectious disease, antimicrobial resistance, microbiome exploration of humans, 植物, 土壤, 和 animals, to science education in microbiology.  
  • We collaborate across disciplines 和 outside NDSU with interest groups from all types of industries.
  • We offer enriching research experiences for all our students (undergraduate to graduate).

Early Entry

我们的 Early Entry program is designed to give high school students a head start into the background in microbiology 和 biotechnology while they finish their high school diploma. Students in the Early Entry program earn college credit for the classes they take. 你做 不 need a high school diploma to apply for this program.

NDSU also has a new NDSU Early-Entry Scholarship to help with financial barriers. Students from any state are welcome to apply to take these courses whether or 不 they plan to attend NDSU for their entire degree.

Undergraduate Programs

我们的 Bachelor of Science degrees are designed to give students a background in microbiology or biotechnology, with a wide range of specialized interest areas, including human 和 animal health, agriculture, our environment, food technology 和 safety, 和 the biotechnology industry. 我们的 degrees prepare students for a wide range of important career opportunities, as well as the option to pursue further education in specialized subject areas.  

我们的 Pre-Professional program is excellent preparation for professional school, including medical, veterinary, 牙科, 验光, 和 physician assistant programs. 

 

Graduate Programs 

的 硕士 和 Ph.D. programs give students the opportunity to reach beyond coursework 和 get involved in the field of microbiology at a high level. 的 硕士 in Microbiology emphasizes research methodology 和 laboratory techniques. Ph值.D. in Microbiology is an outcomes-based program focused on developing research project leaders.
